Altrusa is an international organization of business and professional leaders who volunteer their energies and expertise in projects dedicated to betterment of their community.

   Membership in Altrusa International, Inc. is an honor and granted by invitation only from a club based in the local community.

   There are over 450 local clubs in 19 countries with over 14,000 members. Local clubs are grouped geographically into 15 districts worldwide. Mansfield is located in District Five which includes Ohio, the lower peninsula of Michigan, and southeastern Ontario, Canada.

   Altrusa International of Mansfield, Ohio, is known within the community for its hands on approach to community service. One example is the Corporate Spelling Bee held annually in conjunction with the Mansfield News Journal.
